Hello

I am an independent Linux hacker that is creating a system for
distributed realtime communication between processes.
I am working on this in my free time and the result
will eventually be released under an Open Source license.

I have decided on using a home-rolled Capability-based scheme for
authorization and on using IPsec for other network security issues.
Capability-based security does not seem to be too hot these days,
so I don't have any frame of reference for the design.

I would like to get opinions on my model from people who are more
experienced with capabilities. A draft paper has been posted at
http://gooey.sourceforge.net/cap.html

The model has been made to fit the protocol, which has not yet been
written down in any comprehensible form ...
I can tell you that much relies on storage (and compression) of tree-node
identifiers at the server during limited time intervals.

Thanks in advance
