I, too, agree, although the "name" part of a split capabilitiy is just a capability designator. It's still a different model than object capabilities, of course.

Then either you're right, or I haven't done a good job explaining the why of the extra features. We certainly found the features useful. We also discovered we could do some interesting things we didn't plan on when we designed split capabilities. That usually gives me confidence in the design. Whether split capabilities have any benefits over other capability formulations remains to be seen.
