[cap-talk] virtualization is the baby steps of caps?

I have this recurring notion that virtualization technology, which is  
widely understood, backwards-compatible, and provides immediate  
security benefits, will eventually grow up into being capability access  
control or something very like it.

(I think Agorics Inc. might have had this recurring notion, too.)

With that in mind, VMware's entry into the security market is a  
significant event.  VMware, as you know, is very strong in the  
operating system virtualization market.
