[cap-talk] Potting the web-calculus - peace? - addendum

Just to clarify a bit and to try to sound a bit less supercilious myself,
when I said:

"...most people are not steeped in these
disciplines and find them unfamiliar and ringing a somewhat
'ivory tower' bell that is foreign to their practical daily lives."

what I intended to express is that everybody has their own focus.
Some of us may be poets, some soldiers, some lawyers, some
singers, some baseball players, some systems administrators,
some politicians, some carpenters, whatever.

Everybody has their own focus. We simply cannot expect
everybody to appreciate the subtle niceties of our discipline,
even as we promulgate our computer technology to the masses.
It is our responsibility to winnow down the terminology to
base concepts that can be widely communicated, even with
the specialists within our own broad discipline.
