The comment in that article that security is a "fire extinguisher
industry" seems to support Schneier's arguments since it reminds me of
the parallels between it that of Ka-Ping Yee in "Firefighters and
Engineers" ( http://zesty.ca/pubs/yee-firefighters-acmi200605.pdf ).

Ping points out that security will remain a fire extinguisher industry
so long as we continue to build software the way we currently are.
Fortunately, coyotos is a great example of how it might otherwise be
done.
