I've been threatening to post a note on the OLPC (one laptop per child)
wiki about security issues for the OLPC for a couple of months now. When
I first looked at the wiki, someone had thought security was important
enough to give it a page, but no one had thought it was important enough
to write anything on the blank space thus offered.

In mid-December this was corrected, the front security page is now
filled with philosophy about security goals. There is a shortage of
concrete proposals to achieve those goals (see it at
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Security).

So, for whatever good it may do, I attached a link, see
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Threats_and_Mitigation.

Everyone is welcome to critique. Of course. Shucks, it's a wiki :-)

Rick, Ted, if there are people who you think should look at this, please
forward the link.
