A humorous note on POLA. A couple of years ago MarcS gave a talk at a
DARPA meeting. By way of illustrating the difference between credit
cards and POLA, he asked the audience if they would hand their wallet to
someone else.

I gave my talk next, and asked him to hold my wallet while I was
speaking. Got a laugh, of course, but it didn't hurt to drive the point
home either.

I even got most of my credit cards back...
