While I agree that this is a risk, I think it's probably not worth the
inconvenience.  I don't accidentally type in windows very often, and
when I do it would rarely result in any harm.  In Polaris, there are
several places where we traded a small amount of risk for a significant
gain in usability.  Our goal was "not one additional click".  We
succeeded, except for one feature we never got around to implementing.
