right you are. i guess i was thinking that the connotations of
something can be strong. if one wants to advertise The Power of POLA,
it might be good to either avoid the Titanic, or make use of it to
point out that it wasn't sufficiently POLA.

perhaps the Titanic might also help as a story which says "even those
people who live and breathe POLA are going to find new issues which
have to be resolved; nothing is perfect. but we can at least eliminate
a whole bunch of standard silly problems first."
