I don't even know if it is Microsoft's big idea. They
are keeping their big ideas close to their chest, and my
concern rather is that they have no big ideas.
I am a huge admirer of Microsoft, a great fan, and my
concern is that with the departure of Bill Gates, the
bean counters may have taken over and they may have gone
Dilbert - that their core competencies went with Bill
Gates.
Recall that Apple eventually had to bring Jobs back,
even though Apple once again displays the faults that
made them fire him the first time around.
