I like "Capabilities Workshop" a bit better than "Capability
Computing Workshop"
because it doesn't have the specific ambiguity (contrast with "capacity
computing" that I mentioned) that concerns me. It has plenty of other
ambiguities, but I think they are all thin enough as to not immediately
cause confusion and can thus be disambiguated in the call.
What do others think about "Capabilities Workshop"? At least I could
mention that name for tomorrows meeting at LLNL.
R.e. 1-day affair: I don't think that makes much sense for people
who may have to be traveling from the east coast. Two days of travel
for a one day workshop? There is certainly a point at which having
the workshop too long creates attendance problems, but to me it seems
that making it one day would also create difficulties. I still plan
to go by the criteria of timing the workshop by the amount of relevant
material, but if we don't get at least two days worth of good material
then I'm not sure the workshop will be justified.
