I just skimmed some of the pages.
I see two technologies mentioned, that I until now assumed incompatible.
You, as I in my MinorFs project, seem to be using the Fuse user space file
system library/kernel module. Using user space filesystems, running as
unprivileged users (and if possible under a strict AppArmor profile),
seems to me indeed the only way to build file systems that adheres to POLA.
When skimming your pages however, I found a mention of being able to build
and run your file system under Cygwin. This currently confuses me quite a
bit. Given that to my knowledge, Fuse is a Linux/BSD only thing, and
windows /cygwin has no AppArmor alternative, I am very interested in
learning how you managed to create a (user space ?) file system that
builds and runs on CygWin/Windows. Given such possibilities, I would very
much like to investigate if my MinorFs project also could possibly be made
portable to Cygwin/Windows in such a way.
