Client Utility was the name of our research prototype.  The e-speak Beta used the same architecture, but the e-speak product used SPKI certificates.  In order to avoid confusion on this list, I've been using Client Utility to refer to the earlier version, which is at http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Alan_Karp/espeak/version2.2/.
