so talking to myself, i'm thinking that we need more self-advertising
services + apps which know how to query and handle that. i can
generally copy and pase the base url for a blog into google reader and
it will magically find the rss or atom feed off of there. seems like
if i were to configure email i should just be able to enter one magic
value such as the name of the isp (barring the security boondoggle
that is dns, tra la?), and everything else should magically properly
safely completely be done through some halfway-standardized
handshaking. er, well, up until the "what is your user name and
password" stage cf. DSH's email.
