Zooko is a respected and competent contributor.

If you consult the Received headers, you will see that it is  
reasonably likely that the junk is from another source; perhaps an  
opportunistic and broken spambot, or a DoS attack. (In fact, I now  
notice that your own name has been given on another post; perhaps mine  
will too shortly.)

This is a job for spam filtering, not banning (which would have no  
effect, since they're spoofing everybody so far).
