processes are useful, even in a sensor, just as they are anywhere else.
they need not cost much in space and time.
implementation of processes does not need 12-16 megabytes.
in some cases, the processes can disappear by run time (cf. Cardelli's and Pike's Squeak)
but even when they don't, they needn't cost much.
no more (or not much more) in time than some of the alternatives, in fact.
the stacks cost a bit more space, i'd agree (but i think it's worth it).
