Anouncing E v0.7.2 (javadoc & zips still missing)

It is not simple, but it doesn't have to be that hard. Let us focus on
making it easy for users to use cryptix from Australia, rather than focusing
on shortcircuiting the process to the long-term detriment of the users
(funny to hear me saying this, isn't it? And I wouldn't say it if I thought
this problem were really as hard to deal with as the email in this
discussion seems to imply :-)
OK, I'll make the following offer (sigh!). If, 30 days before taking E
public (whatever that means here--technically, it's as public as it can get,
but it isn't really public yet, does everyone know what I mean? As a minimum
condition for really "going public", markm has to have finished the second
complete draft of his book), if we haven't solved this problem in some other
satisfying way (such as using a packaging strategy, or getting someone in
Ireland or Australia to build the downloads for us), I will write an
installation tool for Windows that sets ups all the basic E stuff from
erights.com, and then automagically trundles across the Web, grabs cryptix,
and inserts it into the installation.
I consider it not an impediment to the success of E to require 2 downloads
till "going public" because, until markm finishes draft 2, making 2
downloads for the Network E version is a microscopic problem compared to
learning Basic E :-)
