Appending like this does cause one other change: = instead of a warning when I try to start up the connection about the = IJCE properties file, during the startup of the jvm I get a similar = warning that i can't find the Cryptix properties file: trace: Logging begins on standard output. Warning: failed to load the Cryptix properties file. Make sure that the CLASSPATH entry for Cryptix is an absolute path.
