[+] Yes, you are absolutely right: an AST is what i had in mind.
My use of the term "parse tree" was inaccurate.  The runnable
distribution format i am proposing for E is the signed abstract
syntax tree, much like (i believe) the tree which the current E
interpreter actually uses to run the code.
