Unfortunately, from my vantage point, dropping 1.1.x support is flat out of
the question, because you then lose MacOS < X as a platform, and since
that's my platform :-) you'd lose me (not that I feel like I'm contributing
just yet, but having just gotten my iMac DV Special Edition a couple of
months ago, vs. my 9-year-old Mac IIfx, I'm trying to cut myself some slack,
and I DID just start porting the Ant build system to MRJ precisely so that I
could recast the E build process in terms of Ant so that I could FINALLY
build E on the Mac).
Perhaps I should be more noisy about such efforts.
In any event, please please please please PLEASE don't drop Java 1.1.
