It is an open source, small, fast, multi-platform build system that has
been used in significant applications to great affect. It was originally
developed at Sybase or Ingres to address their massive multiplatform and
version problem.
I have no experience with it, though have heard good things about it, and
am considering using it for future projects (especially those that use C or
C++).
