Most of the problems people have run into with Cryptix comes from the way
it defines a new class in the java.security package.  It was necessary in
Java 1.1, but 1.2 eliminated the need.  Some IDEs/JVMs permitted this
definition, and some did not.  The IBM IDE, and some version of the
Javasoft JVM did not permit this definition.
