MarcS, what version of E are you using?  If you're using the one I think you 
are -- the unreleased internal (but publicly available thru cvs) 0.8.9x or 
0.8.9y -- then neither Bill nor anyone else but me needs to worry about 
this. I've been sitting on a bunch of changes from Bill to vattp that I will 
be integrating, but haven't yet.  These changes include changes to entropy 
generation that may very well fix this problem.
