A piece of (perhaps irrelevant) ancient history.

In 1983, the robotics lab at the University of Pennsylvania received three
new high-end computers (vax 11/750s). Ned Batcholder solicited naming
suggestions and held a vote. Computer scientists being what we are, the
winning entries were "Grip", "Grope", and "Fondle".

Ned had the wisdom to discard these choices. Hopefully, we do to.
