Hi all,
I thought I ought to make an announcement to the list about a development
regarding my employer, openCOLA (see http://www.opencola.com/ for more
information) and the E community.
A while back I had posted to the E list about some potentially interesting
projects between the E project and openCOLA, especially within the realm of
designing and implementing some ground-breaking new technology for digital
rights management (DRM) and agoric networks. Towards that end, I'm
extremely happy to announce that Mark Miller will be taking a contract
position with openCOLA as a security expert and special consultant to the
DRM project within openCOLA Research & Development.
Part of Mark's tasks will be to help us plot out the road ahead for our DRM
strategy with E and to see that the development of E continues on track, in
addition to facilitating a cooperative effort with openCOLA and the E
community on what features will be focused on in development pertaining
directly to an E 1.0 release. My hope is that this will not only benefit
openCOLA, but will help to bring capability-based security concepts and
implementation to the forefront of the information security arena in a
practical way, and will also help E become the preferred choice of tool for
those looking to leverage the power of capabilities.
In the immortal words of Stan Lee: "Excelsior!"
