well, its from memory so dont count on it being accurate. in fact,
I wonder if I even looked at comp.lang.tcl traffic. tcl is pretty
popular, I bet.

btw, the elang list has averaged 222 messages/mo from Jan thru Jun of this
year. that's pretty respectable.

here all the data I have. I was collected 1998 Jun 16 and represents
just one 30 day period. in fact, I relied on the ISP to keep just
30 days worth of posts on their server, but that seemed a correct
assumption based on my heavy use of their news server. the news server
is spam filtered, probably via CancelMoose or something similar which
cancels all messages with a Briedbart (sp?) index over 20.

382 articles in comp.editors .emacs .emacs.xemacs (for comparison).

1438 in comp.lang.perl.misc

189 in the other 3 perl ngps.

456 in the 2 python ngps.

163 in comp.basic.misc; 2040 in the comp.basic.visual.* directories.

198 in scheme and lisp.

3406 in the comp.lang.java.* directories.
