Sigh. I don't know of many decent options for generating web pages from
powerpoint-ish presentations. Some ancient version of Powerpoint, which I
can no longer find an installer for, would generate decent html output. All
later versions of Powerpoint seems to generate "html" that only IE can
decipher. So I've been generating my html-slides using StarOffice's
powerpoint-ish app. This has two output options. Until recently, I've used
the frameless option, which doesn't use javascript. This time I used the
frame-based option, which does use javascript in a seemingly gratuitous
manner. As far as I can tell (on *very* casual examination), everything the
frame-based presentation does could have been done without javascript.
Is this choice a problem? Should I return to frameless & javascript-less
pages? Should I post both forms? Are there other options for generating
html from powerpoint-ish slides?
Cheers,
