[E-Lang] multiple-domain language, plus Super Newbie is
lost without "The Dot" (was: down with `define' (was: newbie syntax:
picayune points from a prejudiced programmer))

I know you were joking, but I will emphasize the point. "E as shell
language" is targeted specifically for contexts where there's a premium on
having a capability-oriented shell, for which the only compelling case in
front of us is E on EROS. When there's no such premium, I have no fantasies
of E displacing bash. (Ok, few fantasies, but I'll keep 'em private.)
Of course, even on EROS, people will start screaming for bash or something
unless we actually implement command line completion.
Cheers,
