[E-Lang] Fwd: WebRing is Moving!

Those of you in the "to:" line above have probably by now received the
email quoted below, as you are the hosts of the other sites on our Capability
Security WebRing http://nav.webring.yahoo.com/hub?ring=capabilitysecuri .
You may have also noticed that the webring navigation bar, that bit of
Javascript that the WebRing system insists we put on our page in order to be
hooked up to the webring , is now broken. Various other things seem broken
as well, like our "profile" pages. This seems to have been an atrociously
managed transition, for things to already be broken on the day they announce
the need to move!
This change of host, from yahoo to webring.com, will break any existing
links to the current webring location, and underscores our vulnerability
when we make use of free services. (And, btw, thank you again, Steve Jenson,
for having the foresight to avoid a similar situation with SourceForge for
bug tracking.) So, I am *not* inclined to take the path of least resistance
and just move the ring to webring.com.
But I'm not sure what to do instead. One possibility: Joerg's site
http://www.zilium.de/joerg/capbib.html is already a survey of capability
systems, and looks good to me. We could drop the webring idea, replace our
webring banner with stylized link to his site (perhaps a linked Granovetter
icon http://www.erights.org/images/capsecure-ring.gif ), and help him
improve his site over time. Joerg, would you be willing to have your site
serve such a role?
Reactions? Any other suggestions? Anyone?
