This list is at least as much for discussing how to get E adopted as for how
to make E good. In other words, both the marketing of E as well as the
technology of E are on-topic for this list.
So, given this, if you feel your explication would be on-topic, please send
it too e-lang. Otherwise, please send to me privately. Thanks.

Sadly no, not this alpha. However, I remain committed to integrating in
Chris' MacOS X changes for E 0.8.10. See
https://bugs.sieve.net/bugs/?func=detailbug&group_id=16380&bug_id=125412 .
So Chris, there's no reason to try 0.8.10alpha1 as is on a Mac.
I had originally planned to integrate these in before doing a next release.
However, recent events have provoked talk of possible crypto crackdowns

so I wanted to get the currents state into coherent form and get it into
international distribution asap.
So, a request:
For all of you outside US borders, especially all non-US citizens outside
US borders, could you download
http://www.erights.org/download/stl-0-8-9-t-1/stl-E-src-0.8.9t.1a.tar.gz and
http://www.erights.org/download/0-8-10alpha/E-src-0.8.10alpha1.tar.gz ,
and hold onto these, just in case. Thanks much!
I had already been feeling guilty for violating the Open-Source-Bazaar
admonition to release early and often. Recent events provide another
impetus, so I will try to release earlier and oftener from now on. Now that
I'll be moving forward from 0.8.10alpha1, which has come together pretty
well, I suspect micro-releasing will be much easier.
Cheers,
