Ooops....I was hoping no one would take up my offer of persistence help for
a week or so. Markm and I are getting together starting tomorrow for a
week-long review of all the machinery he and I have built in the past 3
months. At that point I will understand persistence well enough to be
helpful. At the moment, however, only markm is up to speed, and he is
wrapped up at the moment.

Steve, I will send you Persistent Echat, the only example existant of
persistence in E, in separate email (I'll send it to anyone else who wants
it too, of course). In a week, I hope to have at least rudimentary
documentation in Walnut.
