Back in 1990, I was a new employee at Autodesk, working in their advanced 
tech group on a Scheme-based GUI frontend for Xanadu.  We thought a secure 
Scheme would be a useful tool, and we began work on Trusty Scheme.  The 
project was abandoned when Autodesk divested itself of Xanadu, but there 
are always traces.  Google for "Trusty Scheme" to get various fragments of 
dubious relevance but possible interest.
