[e-lang] Fwd: [cap-talk] EQ, cross post to e-lang?

Anyone on e-lang but not cap-talk may be interested to have a look
over there. There are many fascinating and related threads going on,
some of which are quite language related.

The particular thread that Jed and Shap refer to below -- the EQ
discussion -- starts with the message at
http://www.eros-os.org/pipermail/cap-talk/2006-December/006139.html

I am cross-posting this *one* message so that both lists will know
this introduction has occurred. Please do not respond directly to it.

To: "General discussions concerning capability systems."

PLEASE do not do this. Experience shows that this will merely bifurcate
the discussion -- the list memberships are not the same, and the mailing
list manager will attempt to filter multiple-list posts as an anti-spam
measure. Which list will receive the messages is hard to determine, and
users hitting "reply" will only reply to one list because we clobber the
Reply-To: header with a single list name.

A better thing to do is to post a URL to the current thread over on the
e-lang list.
