Heh. That's been something of a stumbling block to its adoption; people
hear "certificate" and they immediately switch off. I do think it's
worth a look in spite of that initial gut reaction; it's not using
hierarchical X.509 silliness.
That being said, I use Mercurial instead of Monotone myself. You can
use GPG to sign commits using an optional extension if you want to, but
it doesn't care about such things natively.
