That may be, but my objection to using non-open-source source control
systems is not based on the past or current policies or behaviour of the
vendor. It is based on the principle that the history of development
of an open-source project must be stored in a form that is *guaranteed*
to continue to be accessible, regardless of what happens to the vendor
company or its software.
(Conversion to a different SCS doesn't necessarily preserve all history
information, even if it could be guaranteed to be possible.)
