This is exactly why I suggested it; svn itself has no major pitfalls,
and its widespread deployment (client and server) reduce the barrier to
entry for new E users/developers.

Sourceforge also carries with it an automatic mental association that
the project is "open" (source, development, etc.) for anyone that should
come across it. Mindshare and perceptions are also important to "spread
the word". :-)
