Whoops, I thought I might have left something out. :) I've added the
DEPENDENCIES and CREDITS files to the tarball, and uploaded a new release.

I remembered that there was some relation - I've mentioned it in CREDITS now.

I'm certainly having fun with it. As far as I remember, yes; it's certainly 
the first time I've done so in C.
