Application programs in the Transaction Monitor (KeyTXF) were non-
persistant. The transaction monitor noticed the restart and gronked
(now there is a technical term ;-) ) them as part of its restart logic.
Like every form of non-persistance in KeyKOS, it had to be programmed
in. External device drivers were also supposed to obey a protocol
which amounted to non-persistance.
