Also, AS/400 was a SAS, if memory serves.  If memory serves, tasks
implemented protection domains by holding mapping capabilities.  Folks
in the KeyKOS group will recall this better than I do.

   Can you point me to any on-line reference material on these systems?

Are you joking?  IBM only acknowledged the existence of peer-to-peer
networks within the past year or two.  It'll be another decade or so
before they get around to online docs, and by then the 370 will be
retired...
