IMPORTANT!!! EROS list renamed

The eros mailing list has been renamed 'dimsum'.  It's time I got away
from the old name, and we finally settled on a name and rationale
(read: we found a cute acronym).

DIMSUM stands for DIstributed Meta System Microkernel (I'ld like to
buy a vowel, if anyone has one).

DIMSUM is the kernel of the ENIAC 2000 system, which is intended,
among other things, to allow dynamic on-the-fly configuration of
metacomputers.  ENIAC 2000 builds on previous DSM and high-speed
networking work here at Penn and within the Aurora testbed.  DIMSUM is
the next logical step: taking this work and moving it up into a
distributed system substrate.

The 'eros' alias will continue to operate for the rest of the week,
but will be retired shortly.  While it is alive, messages to the eros
name will be archived in the dimsum archive.
