Not strictly true.  KeyKOS used split blocks to maximize storage use
on IBM CKD (variable block size) devices.  It wrote a short block at
the end of each track and the remainder of the logical page at the
start of the next.

I think this belongs in any KeyKOS trivia contest :-)
