That is a totally different problem - you have to deal with the
potential problem of pagers refusing to page things out _anyway_,
if you want to have any kind of external pager interface.

You're right, and indeed I had not considered that in my response.

Jonathan, I hate to say this, but this discussion is starting to get
   really frustrating to me...

Thanks for saying something about it.

I have not previously thought through the issues in memory object
design, and as a result I've made some claims that I had to be
laboriously argued out of. The discussion has been useful to me but
probably not to anyone else, and I have made the style of the
discussion unnecessarily combative.

The reasons for this are personal, and have nothing whatsoever to do
with the list. In retrospect my mailings have been both cryptic and
overbearing as a result. I hope that all of you will accept my
apologies.

I'll try to leave the KeyKOS questions to the KeyKOS folks from now
on, and present my questions as questions instead of assertions. That
should help.

I think that I'm most of the problem, but there is one purely
mechanical issue that may also be getting in the way. DIMSUM is
coming together as we speak, and my grounding assumptions have been
changing daily as a result (largely due to Bryan's help).
