I'm getting close to completion for purposes of dissertation. Shortly
after the dissertation goes in, EROS will be released. Those of you
who are interested to see where the numbers stand at the moment might
want to take a quick look at the most recent (top) status entry at

	http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~eros/project/status.html

Bear in mind that these numbers are for a system *without* a fast IPC
implementation.

I'm about to do a last round of IPC design changes to add
scatter/gather to the EROS IPC mechanism. One of the benchmarks
showed that it was important to do this. An outline of the design
description can be found at:

	http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~eros/design-notes/IPCv3.html

I would VERY much appreciate reactions on this, and the design note
isn't overly long.
