Perhaps not. I submit that if it's so easy to get something so basic wrong there is something wrong with the tool, but I agree that isn't a good reason to build a new one.

Can you tell me how to implement file rename in CVS without any of the following happening:

  1. Having a file suddenly appear in old versions that was not there.
  2. Breaking the history trail on the file.

I'ld say that I seek enlightenment, but that's a bound variable these days :-) I'ld be glad for better understanding, though.
