I'd love to see Python as per-version's scripting language. I'd be happy to do things like configure and compile a stripped down version for linux so you could evaluate its size and features as an embedded interpreter.

I'm curious as to what you see as weaknesses in it, why you wouldn't choose it. Or maybe the best thing is to wait for that alpha version of perv and I can hook it in myself and start the debate there.
