I've just signed up too.
I haven't gotten very far yet, because I haven't finished reading the docs. I'm quite interested in this project, and want to see it move forward.
However, I did build a system image (in RedHat 6.2) and try to run it. It never seemed to boot up all the way. Sometimes it would get to the point where it displays the message about the various timers. But there it crashes.
I also tried it inside of VMware, and it gets to the same point. I'm glad it at least somewhat runs inside of VMware, because that'll make debugging much easier. It looks like someone (who knows, perhaps me) will need to port a driver for the AMD LANCE chipset, which is the network card simulated under VMware.
BTW, are there any patches out there that I might need which aren't checked into the CVS tree?
