I succeeded in running the test in

$EROS_ROOT/src/base/tests/func/constructor_test

by the following methods:

To run from an FD
a) Set $EROS_FD to point to your FDD (/dev/fd0 in my case) and insert

a blank disk.

To run from a HD
a) Set $EROS_HD to point to the HD partition. (/dev/hda2 in my case)
